Digital Sales Manager
WTAT – Charleston, SC

WTAT-TV FOX 24 in Charleston, SC is searching for a Digital Sales Manager. The Digital Sales Manager will lead the station’s efforts in growing New and Incremental Digital revenue. We are looking for a proven leader with management experience to develop a strategic sales plan with our management team. The ideal candidate must be able to coach, train, and lead our team of account executives to attain individual and collective Digital goals across all of our platforms. This candidate must have a proven history of developing and executing successful client-specific campaigns. The candidate must be willing and capable of learning about new products and be able to execute new sales strategies in the quickly changing digital landscape. The ideal candidate will have a professional knowledge of SEM, SEO, and all aspects of Targeted Display advertising. They must be able to work with our Digital vendors to assure our clients digital campaigns are running effectively.

In this position you will:

– Provide training for Sales team, Support staff, and Content producers to grow overall Digital revenue and the customer experience
– Meet with clients and prospective clients presenting customized and comprehensive Digital campaigns
– Manage client specific campaigns along with our vendors to assure these solutions are executed flawlessly
– Meet with vendors and potential vendors to improve existing revenue programs, develop new programs, and establish new initiatives and programs to continually develop and grow all Digital revenue streams

Requirements:

– Two or more years of integrated Digital/Media sales management experience preferred, preferably in a TV/Radio/Print Sales and Marketing environment
– Five years of proven Digital Sales experience in Digital and Social media, preferably in a Digital Agency services and/or Electronic Media environment
– 4-year degree, Professional certifications and a history of achievement in training/education in related Industry disciplines
– Ability to lead, train and direct both experienced and entry level account executives
– Achieve all company revenue goals and objectives
– Working knowledge of Digital Interactive initiatives, Social Media and content
– Ability to initiate, present, and close Integrated Media advertising and Marketing solutions
– Work with Sales Management to set monthly Revenue goals for Account Executives and assist each by making 10-15 accompanied Sales/Prospecting calls per week
– Hands on experience developing New Business as a skilled negotiator and motivator

Receptionist
WTTE – Columbus, OH

We seek a self-starting, energetic individual to be our “Director of First Impressions.”   This position reports directly to WTTE and Cunningham Broadcasting but also works with WSYX and WWHO.  Duties include answering phone calls correctly, politely and greeting guests.  Help maintain building security by following procedures and issuing a visitor badge to each guest.  Incoming mail and packages must be received properly, with packages checked in and out.  The lobby is to be maintained in a clean and attractive manner.

In addition, the receptionist position is assigned tasks that requires proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and Adobe.  We will provide training for these tasks and the use of industry specific software. These tasks must be completed in a timely manner.

The successful candidate will have been in the workforce a few years and is looking for a challenging position with growth potential.  The ideal applicant is well organized, detail oriented and capable of communicating with all levels of the station, our callers, and visitors.  The expectation is that the lobby will be open and ready for business between the hours of 8:30 and 5:30, Monday through Friday. Good attendance and promptness is key to success in this position.  Business Casual or better attire required at all times.

Broadcast Maintenance Engineer
WDBB – Birmingham, AL

WDBB-TV in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Broadcast Maintenance Engineer! This individual will be responsible for installing and maintaining video, audio, and other equipment associated with television broadcasting including server-based record and play-out systems, non-linear editors, production switchers, routing switchers, MPEG encoders, decoders, automation, news room computer systems, data networks and broadcast transmission equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Provide the engineering design and assist with the building and installation of electronic systems/equipment as assigned.
  • Maintain and repair transmitters (TV, Microwave, Fiber, satellite, etc.), receivers, cameras, switchers, graphic systems, audio equipment, routers, automation/editing systems, intercoms, monitors and display systems.
  • Provide technical support to operational users.
  • Consult and communicate with engineering management and other engineers on technical issues as required.
  • Perform all technical work to engineering standards and practices.
  • Develop knowledge of facility specific IT needs and assist in supporting these systems.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Other Qualifications and Requirements:

  • MUST HAVE a minimum of 2 years of broadcast experience.
  • A self-starter, able to work efficiently without direct supervision.
  • Be able to work effectively with other departments receiving and communicating instructions via telephone or in person.
  • Be able to read and understand technical materials.
  • Able to set priorities under pressure of deadlines.
  • Able to concentrate for long periods of time.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be flexible to accommodate shift changes including extended hours weekends and evenings.
  • Working knowledge of broadcast station operations.
  • Knowledge and competency in core hardware and computer system technologies, including installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance and LAN/WAN networking
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft, Mac and Linux operating systems
